Kornelia Anna Vitez, M.A.O.M., L.Ac., Dipl.O.M. (NCCAOM)
Anna's sincere caring for her patients, impressive results with helping them achieve their health and wellness goals, along with her unending determination to keep her knowledge and clinical work enriched with new technologies, is what sets her apart.
Her specific areas of interests are: eye disorders, holistic endocrinology, chronic pain and stress relief.
Anna is Nationally board certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) in Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, and Chinese Bodywork. She is licensed by the state of Colorado.
After receiving her A.A. in Nursing, B.S. in Mathematics and Physics, B.A. in Health Science (Western Medicine), and Master’s Degree in Oriental Medicine, Anna continues extensive studies not only in the contemporary principles of East Asian Medicine, but also Western Functional Medicine. "Learning never stops" is her motto.
Having been educated in Western and Eastern Medicine, Anna's goal is to understand the parallels between Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Western biological models, and to apply Western Functional Nutritional concepts to TCM and vice versa.
Her love for TCM started in her early teenage years. TCM prolonged her father’s life for another 25 years, after everything else failed. Using (European) Herbal Medicine was a tradition in her family. Learning Chinese Herbal Medicine was the perfect complement.
Anna was trained in Micro Acupuncture 48, and certified by Dr Andy Rosenfarb, a world-renowned expert in the field of Chinese Medical Opthalmology. MA 48 acupuncture system was first developed in Europe in the 1980's to treat pain and arthritis, and was found to be extremely beneficial for ophthalmic diseases.
In her spare time, Anna loves traveling, spending time in nature, hiking, camping in national parks with her family, including her dogs, which she successfully treats with TCM as well.
